Beaver Dam still in Business??
« on: Nov 15, 2010, 07:58 PM »
I went on their web site and it says their tip-ups are currently not available? I am going to try and call there tomorrow.
Someone said that Gander Mountain in Janesville has a few in stock.

Fleet Farm in Oshkosh has a lot of them.  I think they have a new red one that I didn't see last year.

I don't think they sell them through their website anymore.  It has said "out of stock" for years now.  I think you just have to buy them at retailers.

They havn't sold them from the factory for years. They sell them at fleet farm, farm &fleet, gander. I didn't see any at the gander in janesville when I was there sat. They had frabills. I would bet the gander in madison/deforest would have them. They have a way better selection than janesville.

Just picked up 6 Jolly Roger BDs at Fleet Farm today and also saw a bunch of new ones at Scheels the other day.

The Jolly Rodgers are the same price.  I don't think that they are a "special addition"  I've seen them at fleet farm a couple years in a row.

They do still sell from the factory.
I ordered some over the phone in September. Got them about 3 weeks ago, and they threw a winder in with the order.
They were backordered for quite a while though. Seems that there was a problem with one of their vendors not being able to deliver parts. Thats what I was told when I called them about my order taking so long.

Beaver Dam is kind of funny that way.

They have specific parts that they order, and will not compromise with cheaper parts.
I think that is why quality control is so high with this brand of tip up.

I do not own any beaver dam tip ups, but have drooled over them at the store plenty of times.
I have a friend that owns a couple, and he would not trade them for anything.
