twin lakes (SE Idaho)
« on: Dec 31, 2010, 07:46 PM »
went out yesterday, 5 1/2" of ice under 3-4 inches of snow. the edges aren't too good, but you can get across them if you don't mind slush. the bluegill bite is slow, but if you can find where they are and what they like then you can get some nice ones.
bass bite readily and quickly on anything perch-colored.
the perch just want anything with meat and glow.
trout cruise along everywhere, if you hook into one be ready for a good fight. they'll bite anything, and they always come back for another pass if you miss them the first time.
crappie are nowhere to be found.
