Checking the long term weather reports for northern MN, it might be three weeks or less.

Flasher/camera batteries charged, minnow pails scrubbed, bubblers have new D-Cells, rods n reels gone thru and new line/leaders where necessary, tackle box inventoried, LP cylinders filled, heaters tested, lanterns good to go, augers checked and blades charpened, fresh 2 stroke gas, cold weather clothing still fit? boots in good shape, check laces/liners/pac's. Licenses purchased for yourself, wife, licenses needed for the 4 wheeler/Snomobile, shanty?  Sweep out the shanty, fresh linen, cooking gear/utensils coolers etc......   Lots to do, don't wait till the last minute to check everything twice and ruin a possible outting!!

Charged up the Flasher last week, bought some new gear.  This weekend I'll stack away for winter and pull the ice fishing gear down from storage.  Maybe make some sled mods to better fit everything or get a larger sled.  Test out the heater, check over rods, line, tip-ups..etc.

Schmooze the wife more and not talk "Ice-fishing" too much while I wait for the 2010 Ice Fishing Show in St. Paul in 1 month.

I was planning on being out on the ice the Friday after Turkey day, same as last year. I am beginning to have my doubts though. That's only three weeks away and I haven't seen any sign of ice on the lake even along the shore on these cold mornings. Looks like there won't be any ice next week either. I'm bummed!

Got the battery charged on the LX-5, the Agua View camera, plus a spare I am going to use for the fan in the Big Buddy and some lights. Fired up the auger and made sure that ran ok. Put the reflectix in the Clam Kenai. I'm getting closer to being ready now. Need to go over the rods and tackle yet. Bring on the ice.

Isn't there a law in Mn that you must ice fish at least 150 times a year!

Juan, I have been ready since ice out. Everything was cleaned, re-siliconed, washed and wrapped.
All there is to do is new line and charge the batteries and I am out the door. I even have everything loaded in the sled.

Just got done posting on another thread, but I just spent a week at my cabin in Minnesota raking leaves in a damn t-shirt!!!  The dog bowls didn't even freeze at night and there was barely any frost by morning.  I had to rake through several pools of water on the property and the lake looks like it is about a foot higher!!!  You guys need to stop with all of that rain and let it get a little colder!!!

Most places in MN seem to have 4-6 inches of snow, although it's melting little by little.

We ended up with about a half inch on the ground Saturday night. All gone today. No sign of any ice yet.

I ended up with 8-10!  Still 4-6 out there and slowly melting.
