Hello all...

I am new to the sport but am a vetern fisherman and I am just curious of some good places for a begininer to go with some of his friends near chicago to northern wisconsin.  Ideally it would be nice to rent something or whatever, again i don't really understand how this works.  Could someone help me out?

Thanks in advance

Try any of the back channels on the chain for first ice blue gill. Try to stay away from the crowds. They are usually on the small gills.  Very small jigs with spikes or wax worms. Sometimes the pink gulp works great. 2 to 6 lb line. Myself i run 6lb ice fire line with a 2 to 3 foot piece of 2lb  fluorocarbon. No stretch. Get a two gallon bucket if you fill it up that's a lot of good eats. Using a five gallon bucket and filling it up. Is well you know being a glutton. Have fun keep warm and take a kid or two with ya.
Flags up! Bobbers down!
