Shanty Fan
« on: Jan 26, 2010, 05:16 AM »
I found this 12v fan at radio shack. Now I have to find a nice place for it in my shanty. It was $15.00

It is brushless and quiet. Moves allot of air for a small fan.

I can keep the floors drier. Also moves the hot air off the ceiling to the floor. I am going to do a couple of tests with a thermometer and give out exact reasons. I would guess it would raise the total temp in the shanty 4 degrees.

That's an awful lot for a simple illuminated computer fan but that is Radio Shack for you.  ::) They average less than half that online here I have one I'm not using ATT I got free with purchase of other components. I use my shanty to get OUT from the wind, not into it!  ;)

I just crack the front and back zip doors.  Light winds circulate the air well.

If your feet freeze like mine do, its nice to have the hot air pushed down to the floor instead of all going out the window. I bought a clam light with the fan on it just for that purpose, that would look cool in the dark michianafisherman, hope it does the trick for you.
