fishing at shelburne bay this morning, saw a guy go through the ice!

we were a couple hundred yards off shore straight out the guy that went through was at least another 2 or 3 hundred yards past us, good thing there were two other guys close by he got out and went to there shanty to warm up, fire and rescue were there to make sure he was ok.
and no fish!

what are the ice conditions? if i fell through the ice i would be second guessing about getting in a shanty with another guy!
