Fishing near Novi
« on: Feb 08, 2010, 08:29 PM »
I will be taking my 2 sons out this weekend near Novi.   I'm looking for a lake where we can get some perch, bluegills, and maybe pike.  I'm not looking for specific spots, just lakes that have a good reputation.  Any info is greatly appreciated.

I have never fished any lakes near the Novi area - spend my time Lansing and west.  You can e-mail any info to [email protected].  Any info to help me narrow my search is greatly appreciated.

You may find Kensington Lake also referred to in the map books as KENT. It is located within Kensington Metro Park. Do not hesitate to try Island, Fonda and Briggs Lakes all next to Island Lake Rec area across 96 from Kensington. Walled Lake can be decent on the west side by the cat tails. Nearby is also Union Lake and an easy walk for the kids from the launch.
