I think it was water levels this fall but I'm fairly sure it closes every year during waterfowl season.

Do you guys have any luck out of these places?  I've heard of some good perch numbers and size outta kickin horse and pablo, but never fished em.  Any info on species, depths, and access would be thoroughly appreciated.

I grew up fishing Kicking Horse and Pablo and last weekend took the kids home and we did a bit of that.  We fished Lake Mary and Pablo since my dad has done well at both recently before.  Pablo was slow but consistent on Saturday late afternoon and Sunday early with Swedish pimple tipped with maggots.  That seemed to be the trend around the lake.  The fish were on the small side compared with other places, and my dad noted that was typical.  Its not to difficult to figure out where to fish - just follow the masses.  There was a lot of traffic with people constantly coming and going.

I'm not sure about this year, but it seems like Kickinghorse gets drawn down which creates a bit of a bowl effect on the edges, leaving a rim of ice that is difficult to get up and down on to and off of the ice.
