Not saying you don’t pay attention to your transducer, I see on ice fishing videos guys pulling the transducer out of the hole and just kind of tossing it on to the ice. Makes me cringe every time! I have actually been cut by an ice shard. Because I have read about transducers melting, so normally I lay mine on it’s side. Don’t jiggle around on the face. Don’t think it will cause a problem depending on how deep the scratches are. Good luck!
