Muskrat
« on: Dec 27, 2009, 09:12 PM »
Had a real slow day on a local reservoir, but fortunately, the local wildlife kept stopping by the hut to break up the monotony.

He even climbed inside and had a little crayfish snack while I was on a beer run.  Cheeky little bugger.

Hopefully you bring toilet paper with you or extra underwear cause I know if that thing came up in a hole in my shack; There would be some cleaning required especially if its dark in the shanty.....be safe out there      ;D ;D

Had the same thing happen 2 years ago.  I was sight fishing in 6 feet of water and saw a strange looking fish swim by.  2 minutes later it popped up and scared the sh__ out of me.

Returned the same spot one week later and my buddy was wrestling around his tent and screaming ;D

I did not tell him it happened to me a week before.  I had toilet paper in reserve in the half ton.

Good times!!! ;D

There is nothing better than the smile on a childs face when they see the fish come up through the hole.

My friend caught one on a tip up. He said it fought well. Then once he landed his trophy it took off down the lake. Released alive by the way;D

Yes it's definitely a hair raising experience when you're in a dark shack and the fishing is slow and suddenly a muskrat comes popping up in ur hole.   When it happened to me I flipped out and things got pretty western for a bit.

that is neat, but if I was in my shanty and that head popped out of hole, I would be running and screaming like a 10 year old girl!!

He had his snack and was gone when I got back with the beer.  I would've shared.
