How does everybody catch Walleye's
« on: Jan 14, 2010, 11:41 AM »
Just wondering everyone's preferred way to catch the eye's.

I do really well with Tip-ups but can't seem to catch them on the jig stick.

Any tip or tricks for the jig stick.

Just curious on which was seems to work for everyone.

I have a feeling you are getting the bites just not feeling them.  In my experience jigging for Eyes MOST bite very soft, and many times they will hit as the lure is falling.  Keep your line tight at all times even when you are jigging and that should increase your odds.  Goose

Medium swedish pimple with a fathead jigged on the bottom works.

I just haven't put much time in to jigging as i do really well for walleye on tip ups.  Those usually keep me pretty busy.

I will have to keep in mind the medium swedish pimple.  I have lots of those for lakers.  Any specific color that they like?

I stick to the silver ones. I like a silver with the green or blue flash on one side sometimes though.
