got a new vexilar fl 20 for Christmas
don't have a sled to get to the lakers
next year is a sure thing. any decent fishing for lakers within walking distance is the best i could do, anyone have any info on stuart lake locations? that would be helpful. or any other lake for that matter.

Stuart Lake is tough to find lakers in. Once buddy & I spent 5 days straight fishing there and only had one small laker to show for it. Will be spending another 5 days in Jan fishing for burbot there and staying at my cabin in the north arm. Had my cabin for 6 years now and probably spent total of 50, 10hr days trying to find out secrets of the lakers there and I can tell you one thing....there are no secrets. And whatever you know for summer you might as well toss it under the carpet for the next 6 months. They roam in winter and the lake is so big they don't concentrate in one area. Find a smaller lake and fish offshore humps, or sharp underwater cliffs. If you find the baitfish you usually find the lakers

I'm going to try to fish em a bit. Got some x country skis and might try some camping trips into some lakes that way. Don't have a sled so that's pretty much the best I can do for now

I will be fishing for lakers as well. This will be my first time in the tourney so hopefully I have some beginners luck.
