I herd chamount is great for walleyes at night. Just want to know if this is true.

MANY places in Chaumont Bay for walleyes at night.

5-7 pounders are the norm with the occasional hog coming in at 10 plus.

Get a few in the spring & fall but not much luck through the ice...Wish I could but the perch action is usually enough to keep me content.

Best thing I can tell ya is to get a chart.

There's literally dozens of places to target them and it's not hard to limit out most trips.  Since you can only keep 3, limiting out isn't that difficult.

Is the ice good at mud bay?  I heard it can be sketchy on that bay.  Is there access without a machine?  Always wanted to catch a big one through the ice.

Call Brian @ guffin bay resort . he's located on the other side of the point but you can park there for 5.00 and if needed get a ride over to the bay and back . great deal ' he will know whats happening over there . The ice has been changing in spots from what I hear you have to watch for the pressure crack . the perch has been spotty all around here good luck.

you can still park on the end of cr 125, out in the direction of indian pt. there are a couple of folks who allow access to the lake from their property, look for tracks and the absence of posted signs. one of them is the red house by the bike shop. head out about 1/2 mile... you'll see others out there. you need to be in over 20 FOW. more like 26. if you have a machine use that and come from the boat launch so as not to take up space on the road. use larger lures for perch, and be right on the bottom for bigger ones. use perch eyes and keep them fresh. pick up any trash you find on the ice.
