2011 Tourney?

Just wondering if the people of Iceshanty have a say in what species are in next years tourney?  My suggestion would be taking a pole on the most popular species fished and pick the top species.  Take the top 5 or 6 species and make up the categories from that.  The less popular species should be in the anything category.

I caught about 25 lake trout that were not bigger than Bottom Dwellers in the anything category so I didn't post. Also about 20 burbot that I wasn't able to upgrade on. Speaking on behalf on BC its nice to have lake trout, or rainbows or burbot in at least one category as would make for some great competition between western states and provinces.
This year BC and Wyomings competition for biggest lake trout between us was awesome where the mod (LT) from Wyoming got a crew cut and I got to keep mine

Those top 5 or 6 species would win the vote every year and lots of members would be limited to the anything category.  I think the powers that be do a good job of mixing it up from year to year to give a majority of the membership a chance to not only win, but show off their fisheries. 

I'm of the opinion of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I think the 2006 tourney was the best.  There was 9 different categories (gills / seeds, crappie, pickerel, bass, lakers, burbot, browns/bows, pike and perch).  If you could not find one of these species where you live, you were not in North America.
