Finally made it back onto the ice tonight and out of hibernation with StrikeMaster. 2nd fish of the night was the 11.5 inch hawg. Fishing was slow but ended up with a couple of good ones.

Thanks guys, always a great feeling when you crack the whip on one pull up a bit and they pull that rod tip straight back down into the hole. The one that was 11.5 inches was well over a pound. Ive got it in a ziplock still deciding if it is worth going on the wall. Bryan sorry I will give you a ring next time, make sure your phone works too and give me a call about this weekend. My weekend off and the wife will be in Florida so I'll be out when I'm not at work.

Jack I got him on both. It was actually on the hot n tot but I had a chunk of spawn dangling from the back treble hook. He hit it more like he was after the plug though rather than the spawn. It was weird cleaning them too. Had to dust off my panfish fillet knives, think the last time I used them was last winter. I almost forgot how to clean a fish that wasnt a trout or salmon.
