Yes Maffitt reservoir is legal to ice fish. There are park hours but hear some park outside the gate to fish after hours. Good Luck ...

A friend of mine tried to get me out there twice last week. After two days he had only caught a small Perch. He ran into a guy fishing in some deep water that did catch a pretty nice 18 inch Crappie. He watched him measure it!

i think if i saw that 18 incher that i would be fishin every day out there that is a monster, in fact i think my fishin plans have changed for the weekend now, im going to Moffit

where was that guy at out in the deep, what end of the lake, i have never been there???

I think he was just south of the dam in 50 plus feet of water.
