Seam Sealer on Portable?
« on: Dec 15, 2009, 11:16 AM »
I purchased a Eskimo Eskape 300 flipover at the St. Paul Ice Fishing Show. Got it put together and had it out on the ice this past weekend. Very happy with my purchase so far, but have a couple questions.

I can see daylight here and there through a couple of the seams. Would using a seam sealer like that made for camping tents be advisable?

Also, would there be any benefit to using spray on waterproofing for the outside of the fabric?

Thanks

I know people who have done both the seam sealer and the spray on silicone base water proofing.  They both worked ok.  No damage to either shack (both Clam).

I did not on my Yukon.  No need for it.

I would not worry about the daylight unless you are planning on fishing in the rain. You always need the extra ventilation anyway.
