ideas on floor for tipover 1 man
« on: Dec 07, 2009, 11:06 AM »
im lookin for ideas on floor for 1 man fabril,, i was thinkin some kinda pan or box made to fold back over the tipover when its folded up. it would have to holes precut in it . and would also act as cover during pulling and transporting kepping things dry.  also figure with some kind of floor with sided would help keep wind out  and feet warmer. i tried making 1 out of a thick piece of r board with luan on top. just to see.  it worked great for awhile but wanted to freeze down and came apart. some sort of plastic tub would work great if you could find one the same size. you could hinge at the front and fold back up over the folded up hut.  any ideas would be appreciated. i know you guys can come up with something with all the knowledge on this board.  just an idea ive been kickin around for quite a while. wont be long now.

Those huge jigsaw puzzle pieces that are made of rubber. A lot of times you can find them in the sportsware section. Fleet farm has a 6 piece set that covers 4x6 feet area and its only $15.

Just bring a piece of closed cell foam to put your feet on.  No weight.  Won't absorb water and is great insulation.

I bought a $7, 2' X 5', runner rug, from Walmart. I put it on the bottom of
the sled for hauling. After I drill a hole, I put the runner down and slide the
sled on, keeping a small section showing for my feet. It eliminates sled moving and noise, on the ice, without a lot of weight. Don't get sloppy with hole drilling or the rug will freeze to ice.
Works for me
