If I had to dig down through all that to get to the ice I would MOVE!!!!!!!!    :o
Nothing like digging down through 15 feet of snow, drill a hole just to find out you have a foot of water to fish in!!!!   

I hate it when I have 2 feet to dig down!!!!

  some guy last year was talking about black ice and no snow on the ice!  I've never seen either before!  Only black ice we get is the bottom layer under all the snow and white ice!

 Great Shot, I drive 30 miles to get to Oneida Lake and 15 miles of it look like that picture!
