Flip over cover
« on: Dec 02, 2009, 07:14 PM »
Bought a 8x10 heavy duty tarp and some snap fasteners today, as I'm planning on making a cover for my Frabill Prowler. Has anyone here done this, and have any tips? Should I keep it loose to fit taller stuff inside, or make it tight?

I'm thinking maybe a fabric store might have some Codura or some thick canvas. A little elastic bungee type cord sew it in and you got a great cover. We will see. ???

When I built mine I used a heavy canvas from a fabric shop.  I laid the canvas on the shack and pinned the corners at 45 degrees and stitched on that line.  Then I spread the flap even to each side of that stitch line and stitched the flaps down.  The bottom I used some parachute cord as a drawstring and stitched a track in the canvas for that to run in.  It worked great, but I sold it with my old shack last year.  The new shack got a commercial cover.  It does work easier, but cost a lot more.
