Well guy's hear is the fruit of the weekend starting with the mess of ice fishin gear after a long winter of fishing.

What a mess!

After the cleaning and put away for next year!

Somewhat organized
Here's how it got this way.
Some gills from this winter!

No ten inchers this day, slow but fun!

Now I got to get this piece of junk running!

So I can do this!

Best of luck with that merc... These mid 50 degree temps have me thinkin dewinterize and bronze backs!!!!!!! Gotta few steelies to catch first tho....

Four....2 are mine and 2 are my illinois fishin bodies I store his stuff for him....he only ice fishes with me.. aka bullgill chaser!

heck where i was over the weekend (East Jordan area) it seemd like there was 2' of ice that might be because i was using a hand auger, but there was probley 15-18 inches of ice, and there were trucks driving on the ice there will be ice there tell probley early june

Put up all my stuff today........and burned the auger gas......my old man wasn't to happy to see me dancing around a brush pile with 14' flames coming off of it. The Whooof of the gas must have woke him up.

went out on the dead sea agian tonight, still had a good 7 inches of clear ice under about 7 inches of slush ice.

it was so warm i decided to put the shanty away for the rest of the season, as well as some of the other items i usually take out with me. what a relief its gonna be to go fishing without having to drag all that extra stuff with me.

heater, tanks, battery, fish cam, walleye rods and tackle box, and tip ups are all taken care of now. now i can concentrate on crappies till my license needs to be renewed.

now all im carrying is a chair, minnow bucket, panfish rods and tackle box, lantern, fish finder, spud ( for checking ice as i go ) and the auger. pares my towed weight down to about half without having to take the shanty all the time.

i just put away my heaters and rods. my mittens, rabbit hat, yak tracks, tackle, and seats. i put them away so i can hopefully find them next january? i'm now cleaning reels and getting ready for the sucker run, and some perch fishing! that reminds me to sharpen my spears too, a couple weeks and i'll be in the ditches. then i'll be flipping jigs for bucket mouths, like me

My shanty's are still in the trailer from Gull Lake. I think I left some pop tarts under the seats. Do you think they are still ok?

The basement is trashed,still have everything out and laying all over the place here.Thats ok I've got all summer to put things away.

Washed out me shantys the other day. Drained all the fuel from the power auger and put everything in the basement. How many months do we have left till were out again?

Sorry to hear that fellow fishin bro! I would much rather catch some ray's in the warmth and catch open water smallies......but I will be back on the ice next year, god premitting, jerkin gills or somethin!

That GMC has been a good truck so far....the one next to it is a ford....both good vehicles........Just like a vex.....marcum debate.....LOL Let's don't get started!
