 They're calling for more than an inch of rain, 20-30 mph winds tonight! You guy's think the ice is going
 to survive another hit like this?

ice will be fine.  last time it was pushing 60 with wind and rain and made it just fine

Had my scare Tuesday, I decided if nobody was fishing I wasn't going on the lake , well there were 2 cars in the parking lot and 2 sets of tracks going out, I stayed on the tracks and got to where I wanted to fish, had my gas auger and put down what holes I wanted and it didn't take long, set up my shanty and there was only 3" of ice, when one of the guys left he stopped to talk and said this was the first day they had fished this lake in a while, they tried it 5 days ago and there were to much open water the size of cars so they backed off, I did ok fishing but I had my mind made up I was not going to be the last one off the ice! MY MESSAGE BEING DON'T GO OUT ALONE! 3" of ice east of GR and you go 20 miles north to Big Pine and there is 12", BE SAFE!

With all the ice we have around here, theres no need to worry.  I hope it melts some of it cuz I'm tired of drilling through over a foot of ice.

This round will really improve the ice and fishing down here. The poor folks to the north that got buried in snow may need us to slide over and offer up a spot to fish.
