Hit up Sargents pond on Tuesday. very slow. had one screamer on must have been one of those big smallies in there
only end up with 2 decent size perch.
But yesterday was the time of my life and the best day ever on the ice. Went to a local private pond with my friend. drilled are holes and started setting up. put the shinner down the hole and all of a sudden before the flag was set boom and 18 inch pickerel. same thing happened to my friend when he first set up but with a 15 incher. The day turned out to be the same. by the time are tilts were set up we caught 10 pickerel and had about 12 flags. by the time we ran out of bait (at 1 oclock and we got there at 830 with 3 dozen) we had 45 flags and 36 pickerel and 1 bass. so with no way to get more bait, we left them out there and as a flag went up if the shinner was stolen we would pull it out of the water. ended the day with 66 flags! 66! final total was 66 flags 43 pickerel 3 bass and 1 crappie. Amazing day. still no camera so no pics. but still i will be hitting that place up again tomorrow.
