anyone fish Camelot lake
« on: Feb 03, 2009, 10:22 AM »
I have been fishing Camelot for the last couple weeks. We fished 12 to 20 feet. I see them with my under water camera they are just not biting. We have used minnows, spikes, and wigglers. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

Try fishing at night especially near full moon.

Also on other lakes at this time of season the evening bite can be fast and furious.
Try the last hour of the day. Right now 5:30 to 6:30 is hot.

This year on camelot has been a lot different than in the past.  I've only been out there a few times this year and each time the bite has been really slow.  I have found that my best colors out there are yellow/green or pink/white.  I've never had much luck with anything but spikes and mousies.  Are you fishing the front lake or the back lake?  Like others have said the best is right when the sun is coming up or right before dark.  Get a hold of me and maybe we can get out there and try to catch a few.

We fish the back lake and the channel. Is there any hot spots on the front lake?

We've only done good on the front lake during the spring....actually I never tried through the ice.  I usually fish the southeast corner of the back lake.  I've always thought that the middle of the channel where it opens up would be a good place to try.  Do you live on camelot?  I live in syracuse so lets get together and catch some fish out there.
