Too many wants... Not enough money!

We are in the process of building a perm fish house... and I want to get a few things but want to get them over the years... what thing do think i should get first?
 
Option 1: Vexlar or flasher? My dad has an underwater camara just to let you know... and I will be fishing with him all the time or able to use it whenever

2: Nice heater? we have a buddy heater now...

3:Generator? My friend has one but idk how much i would be able to use it since he also needs it for his house...

Depending on how big the perm is, the Buddy heater may do the job.  Generator... since you are just starting to build your arsenol, I would put that down the list.  A flasher will put fish in that new box more than the other two, but comfort is important. 

I would go with the flasher if it was me.

Get all of it, just make sure you put it on the charge card.

Then you'll have it, and you can take years to pay for it.

Maybe uncle sam will have a bailout for the ice fishing industry, and you won't have to pay for it at all.

I would go with the vex...... it can be hard to share equiptment like that... I bet the Buddy heater has a shot at being big enough.... but you can always pick up another small heater for like 50 - 60 bucks.... not even in the same group as a flasher....... There you might spend $300 - $600

definitely the flasher...i'd have to sell the shack to get the flasher though...my wife always says i have to sell toys to get new ones...    i'm really wanting a couple thorne bros rods so i gotta find a way to pawn off a couple BRO sticks, and jason mitchell rods...all with shimano reels

Check out the clearance aisles of your hardware stores and walmarts. I found a 10,000 btu wall mount heater brand new for $40. Or you can get one of those sunflower tank top heaters for about the same price.

I was under the idea the a vex was a flasher, just the company name. I HATE MY UNDERWATER CAMERA so I would deff get a flasher.

I am sure a buddy heater would work, keep an eye out a lowes, begining of the year (feb) they will mark thiers dwn to get rid of them 50% off.

How much elec stuff are you gonna run? could you use the generator year round? I always try to buy the toys at the end of the year/off season to try to save a few bucks.

Flasher first and then a camera if you can afford to get one.  The camera shows so much more than the flasher does.

Buy the stuff you can't make yourself, flasher, camera, auger, etc.  Make the rest, sled, tipups/tipdowns, suitcase style shanty, etc.  Why pay $1+ each for jigs, when you can make them for pennies on the dollar.  Just search for what you want in here, and chances are you will find it.

1st of all , do it before you get married otherwise you wont get it.   When you get the shanty ...the other thing is...wheres the bathroom?
