Sleepy Creek

Anybody know if you can ice fish at Sleepy Creek WMA?
I am going to call the Ranger tomorrow and hope to check it out this weekend.

I have not been ice fishing in 25 years, but I have an old ice auger and a bunch of kids poles.

This is the place to post. Welcome aboard, glad to have you. There isn't alot of action on the MD, WVA boards, but the more the merrier. Where is Sleepy Creek located? I live in NC and I am looking for ice reports as far south as I can get them.

Mike, Sleepy Creek is in WVA not far from Berkeley WV (about 40 min).  WBGV, I'm not sure about the ice fishing regs there.  I'll look into it and reply back.  Also, if folks hit the ice there then I'll add it to the reports forum.

I don't see anything in the regs saying that you can't ice fish at Sleepy Creek.  I'll post the lake in the reports section along with info on the lake.

Yes, you can ice fish Sleepy Creek. I fished it about 3 or 4 years ago.
