Oakland - Macomb area bluegill
« on: Jan 04, 2009, 10:05 PM »
Anyone care to share any info on where to go and ice conditions?? (PM's are fine)

I might have a day or two off this week and would like to get some relaxation in for me and dinner for me and the wife.

I would be happy to exchange confidential reports, conditions, and tactics for steelhead and perch in the Muskegon area as my buddies over there have been keeping me up to date while I'm stuck here working in Ferndale.

LIMITS+ both times out. Rochester area. Couldn't even run the Gill-Slammer and my jigging rod at the same time. Up and down and reel in fish and take them off and re-bait, and re-set, over and over and over... Bluegills, crappie, and perch.

Tried to take some pics, but my cheapie digital camera ran out of power.

Went again yesterday. I'm guessing that I landed near 80 fish in the few hours I was there. Went home with 25 nice 'gills again. Good thing I had the Frabill Ultralight as the snow was NON-STOP. The fishing action was NON-STOP also.

I had the whole lake to myself for most of the time. A guy and his two kids came out for about an hour or so, but the cold, wind, and snow was too much for them. There was a group of guys playing hockey (no skates) a couple of hundred yards away also.

if that's the lake you pm'd me about, I'm about a half-hour from there.
