Fish cleaning
« on: Feb 07, 2004, 03:12 AM »
Let's hear about your methods, tools, etc. My favorite knife for filleting panfish is a little Normark with a wooden handle. I use the electric fillet knife for northerns and other large fish. I have an area set aside in the basement for fish cleaning. I use an old rough cut board as a work surface which I lay across my large plastic sink. Remains go in a plastic 5 gallon bucket and are delivered to the chickens the next morning.
I would love to have a Dunn filet knife. They claim you can filet up to 50 small fish without resharpening.
