i hope by new years but i think first safe ice will be in mid january? what do you guys think?

You don't say where you're located, there's supposed to be a cool down at least in the North East Thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully we'll be on the ice before Christmas.

I live by black creek in churchville and there has been some skim ice and shore ice early in the am I hope like december that would be great

I drove down the skyway from the river to Hamburg today. Ain't no ice on Erie

I was working in my shirtsleeves in 65 degree sun thinking I shoule have been playing golf. It's gonna be a while.

The TV weather people are now echoing what I saw on the Accuweather website, a "change" in the weather pattern starting around Thanksgiving weekend here in the North East. With all the cold nights we've been having, the lakes have to be down in temperature. A good cold snap should start locking some of them up

with the pattern we are in right now ill say by mid january. looking back at my records it was really cold at this time last year. gonna need some big changes to make it earlier.

I think that might be a more realistic guess. Maybe its a good thing though, If I had ice on monday when I got back there would be no class for me this week.

last year we were icing muskies the day after thanksgiving, then some deuchbag decided to name the spot so I had to pull the post. My guess first weekend in dec, maybe the second if the cold doesn't sit down.
