Not sure about up there but I have pulled some pike out of the LaSalle just by the dam. Judging by your name I take it you are in the Elie area?

I am heading up to Hecla this Thursday with the trusty Ice Cube and a bunch of minnows. I have had alot of success about 50-100 meters from the boat launch every year. The water is about 17 feet deep and somewhat clear for the lake.

Last year I brought my two kids with me to Hecla for a nice fishing trip. Basically all I was doing was pulling perch off their hooks and rebaiting that I did not get much fishing time in myself.

Anyone thinking of heading up on Thursday?
I spend way too much time and money fishing, and every dollar is worth it!!!
