ICE AGE Hole Light???????
« on: Dec 02, 2008, 11:08 AM »
Hi Guys!

"ICE AGE Hole Light"????
Anyone heard of or has used this by HT Enterprises????
Called HT and found out it's something New they've come up with!
Not even listed on their product list (Web site).
It's suppose to be a flexible 12v rope light that you can stick in around the top of your ice hole and help attract fish.
As told it comes in 4 colors -> RED for Panfish - Green for Pike - Blue for Walleye - and Amber for Bass.
I've used my small green underwater light, and it works for ice-fishing as well as for summer fishing.
Lights Do WORK!
Need some info on this!!!!!

Saw one on the rack at GM in Watertown, NY this past Sunday afternoon.
Just looked at it as another contraption/gimmick.  Another way to get some money from me.  I opted for a few new jigs instead.  ;D
I'll let someone else test this stuff out.

Heck!!
Fishermen (Commercial especially) have been using lights for "decades" to attract fish.
Proven over and over and over again to "WORK!" both in Fresh and Salt.
Lights are NOT a gimick!!!!! as some may think.

I think the light attracts micro organisms which draws baitfish in to feed on them which draws gamefish in to feed on them. The other night I took my led light which has 60 leds in it, placed it in a zip lock bag and let it float in a hole with the leds shining down the hole. I did it to see if it would light the bottom up enough to supply light for my Aquavu and it allowed my camera to work after dark. I did it just before I left the ice so I don't know if it drew fish in or not. I didn't see any on the Aquavu. The depth was 11 FOW.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

Try using the attachable floodlight for aqua vu's, I don't believe it is illegal in MN 'cause it's part of your camera lighting system, sort of similar to the LED lights that you can turn on the camera on some models. It is just a bright light to help you see more on your camera, it's not your fault plankton can see it ;D

I have clients from Wisconsin that tell me they are not even allowed to troll for muskies.  ???     I couldn't believe it when I heard that.

If it is not part of the camera lighting system (built into the camera) it is illegal. If it is a add on feature, you can't use it.

Dang, probly shoulda looked into that a little more, thanks for the info. I must have read into it wrong and just assumed that since it was attached to the camera it was kosher. I guess if you're in MN disregard my idea :-[

Here in South Dakota we aren't allowed to use dynamite. Maybe it's too noisy.  ;)

Oi, Minnesota... I will cross the border to go to the airport in Minneapolis and that is about it.  If they ever let me smoke in a bar again I might consider hanging out a while.

I was considering buying a light for a small farm pond I fish.  If the lights work like they say they do, I'd probably be able to attract all the bluegill in the pond......easy pickins
