We're less than 60 days away from first ice, boys!  Yee-ha!   

Who's goin' where first?  If work doesn't get in the way I'm hitting Antero early and often.

Last year I went to St. Mary's Glacier on Thanksgiving weekend. The lake had 8-12" of ice and lots of wind. We caught a dozen brookies before the wind blew us off. The dirt in the ice eats auger blades. Hope to do it again this year. I think we can still keep 10 brookies under 8". That will make a couple of meals for me. Love them pan fryers. Think'n about ice. afishingfool

It was good to at least see a dusting of snow on the frontrange.

Was out by Granby this weekend and the ice was forming around shoreline....It's a start!

Chomping at the bit here.  Can't wait to hit the ice.  Started getting the gear together this past weekend.  Let me know if you hear of some good ice and I will join you.  Look forward to another year on the ice.

Hi Brian!

Good to hear from you.  I'll keep you in mind.  It would be fun to get out together again.  i had a great ice season last winter and learned a lot about finding some of the bigger fish.

Went up to Dillon this past Sunday.  Over the course of 3 hours we caught plenty of rainbos and koks.  Both kids put their foot in iceholes and we spent 5 hours in the car going back and forth.  Some trips are better than others.  Have you been out yet?

Hey, Brian, that sounds like a fun trip.  I haven't been out yet and right now I'm in Kansas.  I might get to go this weekend, depending on some things that are out of my control.......  I hear Antero is ready.  Heh heh!  Look out fishes!   We need to hook up some time this winter.
