« on: Nov 05, 2008, 08:32 PM »
picked one up last year....carb settings seemed to be messed up a little bit
anyone know where i can look up the carb settings on that motor?
it runs alright...but a 3hp motor should run better than that

Try it out at default settings which would be 3/4 turn for the screw on the right and 1 1/2 turn for the screw on the left and then make your minor adjustments from there. Adjustments should be in very small increments to reduce flooding and other problems. Hope this helps.

i just bought a jiffy model 30 from a garage sale and it runs great.  I'm just not sure how it will cut with the ripper blades on it.  I'm not sure if i should get a new blade or if i should try to sharpen this one.   any advice on what i should do.

I guess I would use it to see if the blade needs sharpening. If it does, take it off and sharpen it on a whetstone it is easy to do because you can see where the stone is shining it up. Just remember to use the stone only on one side.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

St Andrews Parts & Power, just north of Winnipeg.

They have cheap re-conditioned factory Eskimo's.
