Auger Sharpening

FYI -
When I was checking out the Strikemasker site I noticed they offered a GATCO sharpening system for their augers. Any of you guy's that already have Gatco's or Lansky's, you're in!
Could save us huge bucks in blades.

This might interest you.  While not as economical as sharpening them at home it is more economical than buying new blades every time they get dull.  I haven't had to replace my baldes yet but when I do replace them I expect this is what I will do.

a few years back I found a little blue hand held sharpener............. it seems like it works I guess as I have used it a few times and as far as I can tell it makes a difference with dull blades.........think I only paid 10 bucks for it and for 10 bucks if I don't lose it the first year or it doesn't break it was well worth it...........I have saved on 4 sets of blades so far just by using this sharpener

The name of the company is Gatco that makes these sharpeners. I have one of these sharpening systems and they work very good. Gatco has their own site if you want to check them out. The one specifically for augers offered by Strikemaster only comes with one stone.
