I would assertain the same thing.  The last I heard of anyone fishing was last weekend, and when they got off they said they came home and put it all away.  I had a pretty good year myself, all 16 times I got out.  Started out with some unbeleivable fishing then things kinda slowd down for me and I never got on a good late ice bite but I think it was timing more than anything.  Local late bite out At Merrit seemed to be early morning to 1 pm and I could never get out that early.  But no regrets this year,  got some new holes and caught some of the nicest fish (perch especially) Ive ever got into.  Good luck on the soft water to everyone and see ya'll when the temps go down and we walk on water

Fishing should be the exercise of your skills- and its rewards the places it brings you to

Dear Missouri River,

Thanks for not freezing.  I enjoyed the monstorous smallmouth laying in the huge dropoffs near rockpiled banks on Sunday.  Please tell the walleyes and suagers it is june.

Love, Boji

NOT EVEN CLOSE BUD....

Going back to Boji..might even take some time off this week to do so.  Found a honey of a rock pile on Big Spirit, Iowa.  Perch pile was more like it.  Sorting required but there were some larger perch and predators on it also.  I think my vex was red-less about 5% of the time.  Other than that, there were fish under me.  I'm going to try and talk my brother into one more trip...The lake edges were getting a little funky so I'm not sure how accessible the lake will be in 3 days.  Looks chilly this week - specially at night but...

trading hard water for the boat and vice versa is always a good and exciting change.  i look forward to hitting the hard water again next year, but until then i am loving the nice weather and warming water.  good luck to everyone this year and be safe on the water.

I traded the shanty for a boat as well. Got up to Gavins Point and took my limit in nice walleyes. Even managed to snag 6 spoonbills. Super fun. See ya'll on the water. Look for me in the red nitro with Semper Fi on the side. P.S. I always keep my ice jigs with me incase the crappies start biting. ;D
