STRUCTURE
« on: Oct 14, 2008, 07:54 PM »
was thinking of dropping some brush into a couple of semi private lakes i fish.  i need alittle help.
got the structure its just i can't find ANY info on the legalitty of it in indiana.  the lakes are landlocked by private owners and it would be placed in front of owned property.

anyone have any input as to where i can look.  also  what about public waters.
nothing to crazy just some 8-10 ft willows sunk in 20-30 fow.

In public lakes, you must get permission from the DNR.  I can't answer the question about private / semi-private lakes.

Ok, let me rephrase that.  You are SUPPOSED to get DNR permission.

well with duck season opening on sat the pre dawn sinking is not out of the question.  the lakes i'm thinking of are just 40 acre bowls and the fish just roam. great early till the suns up in the shallow weeds then  POOF  the bite is off.
just try to be legal when i can ;)

if the lakes are surrounded by private property ,may i suggest looking into a possible property owners association.

,

maybe try some stake beds, they work really well, very simple to do, and you don't get hung up as easy.
if your not walking on water, then you're not icefishing!

I talked about this on another post but if you guys didnt see it it on Artificial reefs. In WI if you are caught without permission from the DNR you can lose your right to fish. Just a thought, I dont want to see anyone lose that.
