Nice reflection thread O4T - great idea.  2008 was a great season for me and my family.  We were able to get us many Sunday's and include others in our fun.  As I get older I think I have a better time turning others onto what I love to do more than catching fish myself.... (well, almost ;D)  We had a little good fortune along the way as well:

Jan. 1st - a nice start to the season

Turning a "greenhorn" onto the sport...... best way is to catch a few fish! ;D:

Only one trip away for me this winter but a fun one all the same ;)

Excited now for open water, can't wait to meet everyone at the banquet :icefish:

P.S. - MaineDog - when you say you are down in the Arm, you mean it! ;D

Great bunch of pictures guys. Beautiful scenery shots MD, and GF, that look on your boys face in your first picture is priceless....the brookie isn't bad either.  ;D  The smell in the air from the rain this morning gets you thinking about open water fishing, but I had a lot of fun on the hard stuff this year and am sorry to see it end.

Looking forward to the banquet.

Some of my favorites too, Out4trout.

Here are some of mine from 07-08:

One of the first trips of the season trying out the DX4000 for the first time at one of my favorite locations about a mile in front of the camp.  Fishing was slow, but the weather was great.  I played tug of war with some big fish on the end of one of my traps, but he decided to let the bait go....

A little later in the year we stopped by a nearby lake and I jigged near some friends hardside.
Mrs. Mainedog was learning to use the Marcum this year.  I will probably have to get a second flasher
because she is wanting to use mine all the time now.

Sunrise the first morning of my trip to Moosehead to meet and fish with the rest of the IS members!

This is Spruce Mountain.  My wife took this picture on one of the last trips.  We were deep in a cove on a nearby lake, looking back, up at Spruce Mountain.

Looking out from camp up the Arm.  There was no shortage of snow and ice this year.
So few vacation days and holidays!  So much ice and snow this year!
(Image removed from quote.)

One last picture of me in front of camp before heading home at the end of the season.

And this is the BIG PICTURE!

And of course, camp would not be complete without my two buddies!

Counting the days till next year.

Awesome pics MD. Great looking pair of shorthairs too........Head over to MyFishfinder.com everyone else will be there ;)

Took a few friends to one of my hot spots

Heres what we ended up with on the day. The smallest we caught all day was 19" and the largest was over 25".  Not one missed or lost fish and we threw back about 6 or 8 more than what we kept.
