Author Topic: Got To Fish 2 Lakes Today!!! Pics!!!! (Read 2208 times)

It was a little cold this morning. Headed out to catch some freshwater smelts with smeltslayer. Caught about 20 dozen. Fished until 12:00 noon. Got home around 12:30pm. The temps were pushing 50 degrees and beautiful sunshine. Norma and Zack wanted to fish the afternoon and catch some sun. Headed for Salmon Lake.
The first couple of pics are the smelts we caught this morning. The rest of the pics are from Salmon Lake.
After looking at the pics, my wife suggested I enter some of them for the best set-up category. What do you guys think?

Looks like your on your way to stocking up on smelts for the slow troll.
Norma how was the water?

Any fish in the afternoon?

Very slow fishing. Too nice of a day, I guess. Zack caught 1 smallmouth bass, 14 inches.
Open water in the background was there just in case Norma got too warm from the sun.

That's a nice bunch of smelts for sure . I also have room down here if you get to many . What a great afternoon . I fished this morning ,But had to take my son to little league practice ,so I was off the ice before it really warmed up . I think you should enter them in the best setup . You get my vote for sure . It looks like a great start for spring trolling bait and a good start to the summer tan . Nice job ..

I like catching big fish, but some days you can't help just enjoying the time spent with family.

It's not always about the fish that you catch..Like you said...it's about time spent with the family...
So if Norma was in her bathing suit what were you wearing??

I can tell you where we fished you would have wanted a hat ,we fish a lake in northern VT and it was 0 when got there at 7 and was 32 with a 20knot wind when left at 4pm.Been a long time since I have seen a hottie on a beach blanket.BB

You're the second person to say they think the last picture was somehow super-imposed or something. I can assure you that is an authentic picture I took yesterday. I still have the picture on my disc in the digital camera if you would care to see that. As far as the shadow stopping or not showing enough, you wouldn't get any shadow from a thin blanket and Norma's shadow is directly behind her as it should be. Whatever.

Dennis I do believe the picture of Norma is real. Not only that but I think it's the best picture of the year. Well next to mine that is. Keep showing us how to do it, with your great pictures.

I don't know gamefisher, I may just edge you out on this one. For 1 month awhile back, I kept punching in the letter " i " when logging on to the Shanty with a new password billditrite sent me. My wife hears me complaining out loud one night about not being able to log on to the shanty. She finally comes downstairs and quickly observes that the letter " i " billditrite sent to me, might be in fact the letter " l ". As soon as I tried it, I was logged on. She keeps me straight most of the time.

Thanks Jim, I don't know about best picture of the year, you and others here have put up some great photos this season. I like sharing my pics on the Shanty. And I love my Cannon PowerShot A540. Can't say enough good things about it.
