Just wondering? I think I am definatly gonna try some last ice action this weekend. Would love to know if any one is heading out or how they did so far heading into the weekend. Temps are riseing and and ice is melting gotta get out just a couple more times

I will be out all over west michigan. I don't think I need the spud yet...but If I have to brake it out I will. This weekend will be real hot .....next weekend I may just be eating fish instead of fishing them.

When do you do your best last ice fishing at night or in the morning.....It gets dark so late now and anything I can do to keep the wife of my back would help.

I am sorry I couldn't tell you. I am fishn' night and day. Probably end up with just a few hours of sleep this weekend. Specs and smelt at night. Spec gills and perch during the day.

I am headin to gull saturday night. I am hooked on late ice smelt fishing. I wish I could go friday with RC but working saturday. Would like to see some other guys there.

heading out Friday night after work.....around 1130pm.....cant wait, I'm just as excited as first ice......catching fish or not I will be fishing all night and as long as the wife allows on sat.

gull lake hmmmm that does sound great never caught the smelts. By battle creek right? I am just wondering if i could make some type of exucse to go.

The lakes around here will be good for quite awhile yet with most having 24" + of ice and most dont have rivers running thru them helps.
And these cold nights are refreezing them .
And all though the pike and walleye seasons close saterday.
the Perch,Smelt, Trout,Whitefish,panfish ,burbot,are still out there to be caught.
Il be fishing on the ice till it becomes unsafe .
Who knows how long that will be ?

I am goin to go out on a limb here. But (and I have mentioned this before) just throw some money her way. Women like to spend it....will give her something to do other than b***h at you sat. or sunday.

Check out infisherman.com best times calander. Should be a am bite and again in pm, also my lunar calendar says good days Fri, Sat, Sun. This sould be a great weekend to fish!

Anytimes a good time, but if you check the in fisherman lunar calendar(which I still don't know if I buy it), this weekend looks bad. If you go according to that. But beer and jigging is always worth the time.

well I am leaving work and going to try and get a few last ice outings in. Don't know about the ice conditions it has been warm these past few days.....I will give it a shot anyways might try some of my old fishing areas....or I might just do stop, check, and go's if the conditions arn't right.

I'll be out but the itch to get on the rivers and chase some steelhead is getting strong. But the days of yard work and home maintenance is just around the corner too. Oh so much work to do and so much fun times ahead.

I need to get after those steelheads, never caught one. I live smack dab in center of lower michigan and steelhead waters are a hop skip and a jump away for me.
