« on: Mar 14, 2008, 09:45 AM »
im thinking about trying wilson one last time this year on saturday afternoon. and i was wondering if anyone knew how the ice was, and if it still safe, i would assume so but just not sure. last time i was there walked off with about 15 keepers all in the 8-9" range and one jsut over 10" but that was 2 weeks ago.

LAST SATURDAY ABOUT A FOOT OF ICE. 6-8" SLUSH/SNOW . 6"WATER ON TOP. WAS HORRIBLE TO SAY THE LEAST. BUT I WOULD SAY IT SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO THIS WEEKEND.

Still lots of ice as of today. probably 8" of clear ice with about 6" of white ice and then a layer of slush on top. Dead slow action though. Still good to get outside.

Checked out Wilson tonight... plenty safe.  Just where your waterproof boots.  There's 1" of crust then 3" of slush and 8-10" clear ice. :)
If it ain't broken, you ain't try'in!
