What?? You're at work?? (me too)  ;D
It's a 5 gallon bucket that you attach a drill to for $40. We have one, works ok, we don't use it much as hubby fillets most everything.

Yeah, sitting at a computer 40 hrs a week does teach you a thing or two.  ::)
If you'd like, I could  try to find ours when I get home and take a pic of the blades inside, but to be honest, for 40 bucks, it'd probably be easier to buy one...

for $40 I can touch up the edge of a spoon from the drawer & send it to ya :)

Seriously, I can't see the spending of the money, for the results. You'll have to clean it after you're finished & then store it ta' boot.

I'm not putting it down, I guess I'm still a  "dinosaur", when it comes to gadgets. ;)

BTW, you could always just put the fish on a stringer & ride a bike with the fish hanging off the handlebars, or the seat, down next to the spokes..... Get some exercise & scale the fish at the same time...
It works, I used to do it as a kid!
or an Excercise bike maybe... LOL
:D
PS -when I was in the service, they used potato peelers that worked somewhat like it, you could put "hardware cloth" ion the outside of the bucket & a paint stirrer for the agitator & probably do the same thing , if ya wanted to make one at home... I'll stick with the spoon...or the bike.;)

Just teasing ya ,spartaman,  No harm intended... It is a good idea, if you have a lot of fish to deal with. Sounds like you're doing a whole lot better than I have lately.;)

Screw some old bottle caps onto a piece of plywood. Best darn cheap scaler you will ever have.

I have one of those.  They really work well.  But since I switched to a electric knife I don't use it much anymore.  I have seen some people make there own.  If you have a way to roll the stainless steel flat stock into a barrell with a hinged lid you could make your own.  You would have to take a metal punch and punch holes throughout the flat stock.  Get yourself a tub and a 120v motor with the right rpm and with a little thought and mechanical forsite you could do it.  Also there is some welding on it.  That would help also if you could do that.
Fisherman's Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
          Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
       I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
           And peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be Judged
              BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
