First fish on my...
« on: Feb 28, 2008, 07:24 PM »
homemade tip-downs! I had lost 3 fish on the other tip-downs rigged with 2lb. leader.(broke off) I changed out the last one with straight 4lb test and connected! I was jigging and as the fish started slowing down on the bite I put out 4 tip-downs I had made. Then the fish stopped biting... Next time I use them I'll get them in right away.

You cant beat catching fish on something you made with your own hands. I got a jig rod that i made and i love cathing slab gills on it. It the top from a broken Orvis fly rod. Its really sensitive and i love it for what it is made by me for me.
ALRIGHT ALRIGHT!!

I purchased the reels at Gander Mtn., $2.39.

I ran the line through a elongated hole in the pipe.

I am so PROUD of you !!!
I just love it when we can come up with more uses for duct tape and/or PVC pipe (and often a few beers to jog the idea)! I still think the Tater Gun is one of the best inventions to beat with PVC. But I have to say this one will be in the running. That thing is awesome!

Come on what happend to the old branch and a piece of flagging tape methied, nothing works better. There is no need to get so hi tech and spend money when you can't do something just as good for almost nothing money wise.

he is probably a plumbing contractor and only had old pipe and would have had to buy the old sticks
