That is some serious work- with GREAT rewards!! No way I would have tried it in my ranger- those boats cost way too much to use as ice breakers.

Man, that is HARDCORE!! Nice fish, but too many things can go wrong doing that. How the heck do you keep the motor from freezing up in temps like that?

If the prop wash ate it up it was probably snow/slush that accumulated - not hard ice.
Like DRR324 said - lots of work which they were rewarded for with nice fish.
