Yes that is the Skip i'm talking about but Keith is a cousin. Skip is my brother and he loves Caroga

Talked with Skip many of times...Great guy ..Only time i didn't see him there is when the wind  was 40 plus this year ...

Also we  gave Skip some bait  before....He swears by his  smelt and many of the fish we caught there this year had a mouthful..... but they  sure do love  little fatheads about 2 foot under the ice ..he warned us we  were too late to catch any smelt earlier this year and we got there at 6 am ...so instead we were introduced to the splake...

I usaully fish over on the south shore ,mostly in December,not sure how the smelt are biting,I haven't heard much this year,theres only 3 shanties in shantytown this year,good luck.does this look famillier.

If anyone doesn't know what I posted ,it is the Carosel on West Caroga Lake,lots of action in that area --sometimes--watch out for the inlet to the north side of the Carosel,it's only about 3' deep,,but watchout,it will start to open in March.
