every baitshop that i have gone too will give you a receipt.  i didn't know that it expires in 7 days, though.

If they don't give you one, I'd try and insist that they do.  Have heard of people getting questioned about it later.  An extra couple seconds for them to give you a receipt could save a big headache!

Yo'll get the ticket, if the shop dose'nt give you a receipt. I'm sure if you ask for one they'll provide it. Shinners have to be certified and you must have proof if purchased from a bait shop. Fat heads or mud minnows are not on the list so maybee that's why they didn't give you a receipt.

Its a pretty heft fine too. If they refuse to give you a reciept or dont know what you talking about , Id find another baitshop.

yes its a 1000 bucks.  So you better have it.  This was talked about before. its only certain species of minnows that need the receipt.

I went to a bait shop up in south branch and this guy had me sign the receipt and he signed it and checked off the bait he supplied. It was like signing a contract. The bait shop by metro doesn't give receipts. The receipts they give just say how much your bill was not that you even bought minnows.
