So i'm going to be up in allendale Michigan this weekend and i'm trying to find a lake closeby to fish.  It'd be great to fish a lake that has a mixed bag of different species.  I'm not asking for any specific spots on lakes, but just what lakes are known as good fishing lakes in the area.  Thanks!!!

Jason

Wellllll...isnt this quite a pickle.  How close is "close"?  YOu have some awsome fishing in the bayous on the river and while youre at it....Muskegon lake.....Cranberry lake....Crockery lake.....There are also a few small ponds NW of Jenison (10 minutes) SW of you.

The best thing you can do is get online or a county atlas...Look at Muskegon..Ottawa and Kent.  Find some lakes close to you and check them against the DNR maps.

Do the folks you are going to stay with or see fish???  If not, I bet they know someone who does.  Good Luck.
