Jacks Traps in Monmouth has parts that can work on most wooden traps...

I got some flags at Burnies in Lewiston

Hope that helps

True, Jacks sells his parts Kinda pricey though last I checked, of course his traps aren't bargain basement prices either.

No, But unlike many others your childrens/children/children will still be fishing with Jacks Traps if you take care of them. They don't give away stainless steel and hardwood.

Definitely high quality traps.  Only if you are making your own his parts may not be the most economical, especially if you are buying everything but the wood.  You might be better off buying the trap, unless you just want to make a trap and use those parts.

I agree with that, the prices for the individual parts is $$$. I wasn't really thinking about making copies just finding a release or clip etc. More of a one time deal. I have to save up to buy the things one or two here and there.

i made my own set up. the only premade i bought was the spring flag. If you can access a drill press and a few standard hand tools you should be all set. its not too hard

I buy old traps, then rebuild them. To invent your own trap, you would have to build the parts yourself.  8)
