Dang cold here to :tipup:  Dont think it got above low 20s here today.  Definately making ice.  At least I got to fish this last weekend even though I didnt do that great, I will move on to better waters.  At least it was good enough to curb the appatite ;)  Hope you get on soon :tipup:

Brilliantly clear and 14 degrees here in Central City.  Should be making ice.  My brother was at our cabin on Sherman on Saturday and he said that we had ice from the inlet up past our cabin.  He didn't say how thick.  Just that it was up on the poles of our dock.

Sounds like the rest of the week will have highs in the 40's but nice cool nights.  Just keep the wind down and she will be getting solid soon.

Keep us posted on the ice at Sherman.  That's one place I haven't been yet, but always wanted to try.

Checked ice at the local pond again this morning.  4 inches of good ice with a skim of crappy ice on top from the rain and snow we had Monday afternoon/ night.  If we can make it through the next 3 days of warm weather it looks like another arctic blast is on it's way with highs in the teens to twenties and lows in the single digits starting sunday.

I'm feeling a lot better about metro area ice right now.  Last night's brutal temps really seemed to lock up what was lacking.  I think the next two nights ought to put enough ice on the smaller lakes to keep them solid till March.  We'll see, I guess.  I saw a few guys out on Holmes lake in Lincoln today around noon.  Ventured out to see if they were having any luck...apparently all they found was a truck below the ice.  LOL

Just hope the warm up and wind this weekend doesn't put a damper on ice production. I don't think I can wait any longer!! ;)

I know what you mean.  Seems the ice isn't coming to me, so I'm going to the ice.  Next week's temps should give us plenty.
