Well we fished it today and there is plenty of ice, 12-13 1/2 inches through most of the pond, we ended up with 2 browns and 5 brookies.  The browns were 1.5-2lbs and the brookies were 1.5-2.5 lbs, all in all a pretty good day.

Of course we did, we released all but one that my buddy wanted for dinner.  We usually release everything, after a picture of course. :)

We used shiners, small to mediums.  We started out at the boat launch in the morning we got the 2 browns there and one brookie. Around 12 myself and one of my buddies picked up and moved across the pond to the shallow water around one of the little streams that flow into the pond while the others stayed at the boat launch.  We made the right move as we got 4 nice brookies there and missed one other while the others that stayed at the launch got nothing in the afternoon.  We did use salmon eggs in the holes when we moved to the shallow end, we did have a couple holes get cleaned out but i'm pretty sure they were brookies as our traps that went off in the holes that got cleaned out all had brookies on them.

I hear ya on the space thing.  We were the only ones there today, but it was midweek.  There was one shack out there but other than that there wasn't much signs of life.
