Pike fishing near foxwoods
« on: Jan 15, 2008, 06:51 PM »
Thinking about bringing my wife to foxwoods for a weekend soon. Think I can talk her into pike fishing for one day while we're there. Is there a lake nearby that has decent pike?

Hell yeah! There are few fairly close to Foxwoods... Pachaug is just up the street. The casino is on Rt 2. Just north of the casino is rt 201, Pachaug is less than 5 miles up the road. Quaddick is also decent. It's a way up I395 but still an easy trip from the casino. Take exit 99 and go right on rt 200. The most wel know pike spot in that part of the state is in between Pachaug and Quaddick... Mansfield Hollow. I have several customers in for bait a couple of times a week that fish there. I've see recent photos of fish in the mid to upper teens...

Thanks Blaine,   I'm not sure when we'll be down but I'll try to get in touch with you for an up to date report on the bite. I appreciate the help.
